Energizing or sleepy?

Calming, with a lift at the start. Leafly places Gelato 45 on the calming side of its scale, AllBud calls the high lifted yet calming, and Weedmaps users describe euphoria first and a calmer body buzz after.1,2,4 Leafly’s description adds that it pairs with social activities and is known for fits of the giggles.1 Its sister cuts are described differently: Leafly calls Gelato #41 a heavy, relaxing body high and #33 uplifting and energetic (see genetics).7,8

Why two batches can feel different

Potency varies even in our small sample: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 17.09% THC and one in ten above 22.90%, and state medians ran from 19.15% in Michigan (35 tests) to 21.27% in Nevada (10).9 The name also covers a clone and at least two sellers’ seed versions, so two jars labelled Gelato 45 can hold different plants.6,10
